Mosaico criollo is the name of the first edition of the series of short films produced by Sociedad Impresora de Discos Electrofónicos (S.I.D.E.) in conjunction with the film production company Ariel, to be shown in movie theaters as a complement. The series had a generic title that related both brands: "Variedades sonoras 'Ariel' - Fonografía de S.I.D.E." In the first segment, Joaquina Carreras sings a folk song titled "Triste esta mi rancho" (with Julio Perceval on piano). In the second segment, the dancing duo Giménez and Suárez dance the Argentine folk dance called "Malambo." In the third segment, Belgian pianist Julio Perceval performs a piano solo. In the fourth segment, Anita Palmero sings the tango "Botarate" (with Julio Perceval on piano), by Alberto Hilarión Acuña and José De Cicco.
