Routine hive inspection of Italian honeybees.webm
Open licenseA routine hive inspection during late Spring (Southern Hemisphere) to check for brood health and honey accumulation progress, for my Langstroth hive of Italian honeybees . You may notice that there is no smoke coming out of the smoker; while setting up the camera tripod, the fire in the smoker went out, and I couldn't be bothered to light it again. In hindsight I would not recommend this, as you can probably tell from the behaviour of the bees after opening the hive. Filmed at 50mm focal length and f/6.3 aperture, with recording settings set to 100Mbit/s bitrate, 4K resolution and 25 frames per second. FFmpeg command used to convert from original XAVC S video codec using CUDA acceleration: ffmpeg -hwaccel cuda -hwaccel_output_format cuda -i V:\in.MP4 -ss 00:00:00.0 -c:a libopus -c:v av1_nvenc -b:v 30M -to 00:19:30.0 U:\out.webm
