Mailboxes May Be Hazardous To Your Health!

Texas Department of Highways Video VH-81 Mailboxes May Be Hazardous To Your Health! Crash test footage of rural roadside mailboxes demonstrates how box height, mounting and personalized design can be extremely hazardous to motorists: typically, the boxes and mounting posts penetrate the windshield. Research on safer mailbox support and mount designs is demonstrated, and the importance of a clear zone is emphasized.
