The Tramp (1915) - Super 8 (16 FPS) - Flat - HD.webm
Public domainThis scan is from a 400' Blackhawk Super 8 film. Because film cameras were hand cranked, the speed of the film is all over the place. It seemed like the slower 16 FPS speed would be the best (This speed was used in earlier 16mm and 8mm home projectors). The film jumps out of frame during the "Letter" sequence but otherwise is showing as much of the frame as I can. Thanks to Joe for giving me this film! Enjoy this early classic. Additional Note: When i was a kid, I saw this film at a Science Museum with my Grandmother. I was heartbroken when they removed the exhibit. Please like and subscribe. The films you're seeing here are being scanned from real movie film. It costs hundreds of dollars to acquire these so you can view them. Your subscription will help us keep content coming to the channel. Our content is all over the place but it's definately unique and entertaining (most of the time). The film was scanned with The Gugusse Compact. This is a DIY film scanner project that was built using a 3D Printer.
