Public domain

Dating to 1943, this film "Kill or Be Killed" was produced as part of the "Fighting Man" series of WWII training films. Shown to soldiers during indoctrination, the film uses a series of staged re-creations to demonstrate that there are no rules of sportsmanship or fairplay on battlefield. "Anything goes," states the narrator, "when the stakes are kill or be killed". Soldiers are encouraged to improvise and use any weapon that comes to hand, be it a rifle, bayonet / trench knife or hand grenade. We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting? Tell people what it is and what they can see by writing something for example: "01:00:12:00 -- President Roosevelt is seen meeting with Winston Churchill at the Quebec Conference."
