It is a twin-engine light utility helicopter operated by GB Helicopters and owned by Cheshire Helicopters Ltd. G-GBTV was originally manufactured in 1999, with the serial number 5360, by Aérospatiale, later Eurocopter, now Airbus Helicopters. Its home base (at 2025), is Elstree Aerodrome (EGTR), in Hertfordshire, England. The helicopter can hold up to 5 passengers (4 rear seats, 1 front seat beside the pilot), with seating configuration of a forward-facing bench-style. It has a cruise speed of approximately 120 knots (138 mph), and a range of approximately 395 nautical miles (731 km). Operational roles include VIP charter flights across the UK, aerial filming, load-lifting operations and infrastructure inspections. In 2021, G-GBTV received a jet-black paint livery, while sometimes with added advertising idents.
