In the footage itself, I blurred the British Pathé watermark, since it was distracting, and limited the usefulness of the footage. I approximated the existing intertitle cards, including the Gaumont logo in use in 1912, and made them consistent and readable. I also added a main title at the beginning, and end credits with British Pathé and Gaumont logos, and a music credit. I previously replaced a non-free soundtrack with one available on WikiMedia Commons. This film contains the only genuine footage of the Titanic held by British Pathé. Slightly different versions of this footage are held by British Movietone and the British Film Institute National Archive. Part of this footage is duplicated on tape PM3478, the Gaumont newsreel which contains the only known footage of the Titanic. Pathé has joint rights in this film with the holders of the Gaumont footage. Introductory intertitle reads: [ The `Titanic' leaving Belfast Lough for Southampton.
