Human Research Obstacle Course B-roll

A compilation video of NASA astronauts completing various tasks in the agency’s Mockup and Training facility at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Before and after a mission, astronauts move through an obstacle course and complete a variety of tasks such as walking, climbing a ladder, exiting and connecting cables to a mock capsule, conducting simulated Moonwalk activities, and more, to test how their balance and performance may be impacted by spaceflight. The research has been conducted through egress fitness evaluations as part of NASA’s CIPHER study and for the historic Artemis II mission. The work is part of an overall series of human research studies to ensure astronauts stay healthy and thrive in space as we continue our presence in low Earth orbit aboard the International Space Station and prepare crews to live and work on the lunar surface in our future Moonbase. Video features NASA astronauts Loral O’Hara, Christina Koch, Reid Wiseman, and Victor Glover.
